The Ultragroove still opens easily with a simple turn of the knob but on the Ultragroove instead of the knob being on top of the cover, it's secured behind your tailgate under the cover. The Ultragroove maintains the simple strap closure and locking every 12" no matter what your bed length. When fully opened it is completely encased in the extremely low-profile canister so there's no rearward obstruction to impair visibility. Both the canister and the rails have drain tubes to route water away from the truck bed. The sleek end caps make rack installation simple and the cover itself installs easily with a clamp system that requires no drilling for most applications. Please note, the Ultragroove cannot be installed with an over the rail bed liner because the rails need to attach directly to the bed rails. It will work with under the rail liners but there may be some modifications needed at the bulkhead to clear the canister.

The finish on the rails and cover are Matte Black complimenting your truck's bed rails. The powder coated extruded aluminum cover has ArmorTek laminated to the aluminum giving this hard cover the look of an expensive soft vinyl cover.

No tonneau cover is weatherproof but the Ultragroove has design features to specifically deal with water. The canister acts as a collection area for water that falls on the cover itself. Two drain tubes from the canister, one on each side, keep water in the canister draining away from the bed. Additionally, the canister's angled bottom helps keep water from collecting in areas away from the drain tubes. Because the Ultragroove has rails that may collect water there are also drain tubes installed on the rails themselves.
