SuperWinch the name says it all.  The Talon series winches solve the problems you wouldn't even know you had until you used a competitor's winch.  How about a remote control that has a coiled wire that locks into place?  You don't have to unravel it or pull on it to keep it off the ground.  Also, if you get too far away, it won't pull out forcing you walk back to the winch and plug it back in.

Talon's external brake disc brake doesn't transmit heat to the drum which is even more critical if you choose a synthetic pull rope.  Drum brakes on cars went out of style over 25 years ago for a reason.

The winch solenoid allows you to have a small and light remote to trigger a large amount of current to the winch motor.  No solenoid, no winching.  Talon's sealed, submersible, and vented solenoid is the heart of the Talon Winch.  While water may not get in, condensation forms as the temperature inside the unit changes but Talon's vented solenoid keeps itself dry and ready to work.

The 9,500 lb. rated pull Talons can be had with external or integrated solenoids.  The difference is the mounting position of the solenoid.  Integrated units are housed above the drum and are a fixed part of the winch assembly.  Non-integrated solenoids are mounted on the side of the drum on top of the motor.  The function is the same but integrated units are taller and may not fit certain winch-ready bumpers. The height of the solenoid on integrated units offers a little more protection if you're traveling through standing water.

What is the difference between integrated and non-integrated solenoids?  Which is better integrated or non-integrated solenoids?

  • Integrated units are housed above the drum and motor and are a fixed part of the winch assembly.
  • The height of the solenoid on integrated units offers a little more protection if you're traveling through standing water.
  • Some consider winches with integrated solenoids a little more stylish.Integrated units are taller and may not fit certain winch-ready bumpers or winch ready bumper guards.
  • The height of the solenoid on integrated units offers a little more protection if you're traveling through standing water.

Non-Integrated Solenoids:

  • Non-integrated solenoids are mounted on the side of the drum usually on top of the motor.
  • Some units can be removed from the winch assembly and mounted remotely
  • Neither style has a functional advantage
