Issue: The tailgate on new Model Rams may open unexpectedly while the truck is in motion. Ram Trucks equipped with a power locking tailgate and either a 5 foot, 7 inch or 6 foot, 4 inch bed. The tailgate actuator limiter tab may fracture and cause the tailgate to unlatch and open while driving.
If your vehicle is impacted, expect to receive notification from Chrysler starting September 14, 2018. All impacted vehicles will be repaired at no cost to the owner.

Dodge Ram Truck Front Fuel Tank Strap Bracket May Corrode

Issue: Fuel tank strap bracket corrosion could cause the tank to drop and contact the ground, a fuel leak may result. Additionally, in the event of a crash, the fuel tank may not remain secured to the vehicle, possibly causing a fuel leak. A fuel leak in the presence in an ignition source, can increase the risk of a fire.

Issue: Serious injury or death after Takata airbag deployment. Materials in the airbags break down over time from heat and humidity exposure. During deployment the compromised airbag explodes sending shrapnel into the driver and/or passengers. The NHTSA urges vehicles owners with Takata airbags to take a few simple steps to get the issue resolved and protect themselves and others.
Roughly 42 million vehicles equipped with 50+ million defective Takata air bags are under recall because these air bags can explode when deployed, causing serious injury or even death. All vehicle owners should:

Ford Block Heater Fire

Issue: Ford is recalling certain 2015-2019 Ford F-150 and 2017-2019 Ford F-250 Super Duty, F-350 Super Duty, F-450 Super Duty, and F-550 Super Duty pick-up trucks equipped with an engine block heater and previously remedied under recall 18V894. During the previous repair, the block heater cable's splice connector may have been damaged and as a result the block heater could catch fire.
Ford will notify owners, and dealers will disable the engine block heater from being used. When replacement cables become available, a second notice will be mailed and dealers will replace the engine block heater cord, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin April 22, 2019. Jeep Gladiator Stop Sale

Chrysler has issued and immediate stop sale on one of its most popular new vehicles the Jeep Gladiator. According to reports the Gladiator built between December 15th, 2018 and June 25th. 2019 could have a fractured driveshaft due to them being assembled without grease. The grease reduces friction and heat, without the grease owners should notice noises and vibration coming from the rear axle area. If the problem continues the driveshaft could fracture and separate itself from the vehicle causing loss of power, damage to the vehicle or possible crash.
Chrysler mentions that only around 3,500 Gladiators were affected and that some of those will still be in new dealer inventory. NHTSA says that Chrysler is required by federal regulations to complete the recall before retail delivery.
All Gladiator owners will be notified by October 18th, 2019 and this is a 100% free recall to be done by the Fiat Chrysler Corporation.
